Most of our cotton garments are made from 100% organic cotton. Organic cotton is a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton. Its production does not involve the use of chemicals (fertilisers or pesticides) and encourages rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity.
All of our garments are hand screen-printed using water-based inks. We never use plastisol inks (plastic-based inks). Plastisol typically requires chemical screen washes/solvents for clean-up, whereas water-based inks are a more responsible choice. Each garment is printed individually in our studio, with close attention to placement and detail.
The ink is permanent and can be ironed over.
We recommend washing all garments at 30°C (it uses less energy), but this is especially important for bamboo, Modal, TENCEL™ and ECOVERO™ styles. These fabrics are more delicate than organic cotton and can be more prone to shrinkage if washed too hot.

Hand wash in cool water is ideal (but not essential)
Do not tumble dry — line dry or dry flat instead
Every design begins as an original artwork hand-drawn by Sahara Boston.
Sahara works directly onto paper using micro-fine pens, felt-tip drawing pens, and painted inks. No computers are used in the drawing process, and rulers are only used very occasionally.
Most designs—including Stone, The Sea, Flower, and Secret Stone—are drawn straight onto the paper in pen, with no preliminary pencil sketch.
No, our prints won’t wash out. We use water-based, permanent inks that are heat-cured at 250°C to set the print so it lasts through wear and washing.
Like all garments, the print may fade gradually over time with regular use, which is normal.
You can also iron over the print using a cool iron, so there’s no need to iron inside out.
Our bamboo garments are made from sustainable bamboo wood pulp. Bamboo is a fast-growing plant that requires no pesticides to grow, and it is widely regarded as an eco-friendly fabric choice.
Bamboo fabric is known for being antibacterial and having natural deodorising qualities. It helps pull moisture away from the body, while also offering good insulation in colder seasons. It is kind to the skin and extremely soft, with a smooth, silky feel, making it an excellent option for people with sensitive skin.
Our bamboo T-shirts are made from a blend of 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton.
Some of our garments (particularly sweatshirts and hoodies) are made using a blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester (made from recycled plastic bottles), with recycled polyester making up up to 40%.
To make sure these pieces still feel soft against your skin, the recycled polyester is never in direct contact with the body. Instead, it is sandwiched between two layers of organic cotton.

- Tencel®, Lenzing™Ecovero™ and Modal® are biodegradable and made from certified renewable eucalyptus or beech tree pulp. Eucalyptus is known for being a fast-growing wood that does not require irrigation. The Tencel manufacturing process has received the “European Award for the Environment” from the European Union due to its low emissions.
The cellulose fibres are sourced exclusively from the Austrian manufacturer Lenzing, the first fibre manufacturer to have received the EU Ecolabel, which promotes environmental excellence.
GOTS stands for ‘Global Organic Textile Standard’, one of the strictest certifications for textiles made from organic fibres.
GOTS tracks the entire production chain from farm to factory: from harvesting the cotton, to processing and weaving the fibres, to garment assembly, and through to the finished product (before printing). It certifies cotton that is GMO-free, grown without harmful chemical pesticides, and processed and dyed without the use of banned toxic substances.
GOTS also helps ensure compliance with the labour standards of the International Labour Organization throughout the supply chain.
The best way to find out which size you need is to measure the chest and length of a favorite garment that you already own, that will give you an idea of what you are looking for. Then just compare that to the size guide chart available on each product page.
There are size guides in the photos on each product page and a link to the size chart page is below.

We always advise to wash our garments at 30°C and to not tumble dry.
Washing our garments on a hot wash at 60°C and tumble drying will cause a certain amount of shrinkage, especially the bamboo, Tencel and Ecovero, which are a more delicate fabric than the organic cotton.
All our products are sent out in 100% biodegradable/recycable packaging, and if you open them carefully they can also be re-used.
